Well I now have the full set of guitars (for the moment). I bought this Yamaha APX500 today for acoustic country work. Itā€™s lovely and slim and sounds great. I now have the Strat for rock and roll, and 2 teleā€™s for country. What more can a man ask for in life? :wink:

A nice guitar, no doubt. Iā€™ve never owned a Yamaha, but have heard a lot of good opinions about the APX series. Quite a versatile instrument, sounds great playing at home, on stage suitably amplified and should also sound awesome in mixesā€¦

Haha, That is one genre I have not tried yet.

Now there is a rabit hole!! :wink: I use a Boss ME90 multi effects pedal, so that should be OK for a while.

I wonder is upgrading pedals, amps and guitars classed as new or upgrade? I can probably get away with and ā€˜upgradeā€™ more than ā€˜Another guitar!!??ā€™ :wink:

Thank you @Richard_close2u As a first acoustic for an electric guitar player, it seems great. I couldnā€™t get on with the wider guitar bodies and necks I tried in the shop.

I am looking to replace my cheap acoustic and that Yamaha looks just right so far the only Yamaha i had was a 250cc motor bike

I am sure I will i bought it a month ago and a friend has helped me get it from down south and is returning home tomorrow on holiday for a few days so I will be posting a picture I have a new set of NYXL strings waiting here for her along with a clean and a good set up, she is currently set up for slide but hasnā€™t even been played yet :guitar:
