NGearD - Nucleo Reverb

Hello,

month ago I ordered this little nuclear box from Cornerstone…

It is Nucleo Reverb by Paul Davids.

Waiting time supposed to be longer, but Czech supplier just got one piece!

Lovely and massive pedal. Lovely design and endless reverb inspired by my role model Paul Davids. :guitar::heart:
The inspiration came from Paul himself visiting old nuclear plant, where he played his guitar and he wanted to put that sound effect into pedal!

I am just sitting on my chair hitting slow some chords or notes in chords and I travel through the space.

For anyone interested about root of this idea check 15 minute video below:

Michal - if it sounds as good as it looks - my sincere congrats (actually I don’t doubt it does  ).

I saw the video’s couple of months ago and it was really impressive. Have fun tinkering with those lush verbs!

Oh nice. Spendy but those types of things are often worth it. That pedal sure does look sweet. :sign_of_the_horns:t2:

Make sure to check if there is a new firmware update from the website. I read they were coming out with one.

Wow, that pedal costs more than the value of 2 of my guitars together. Out of my price range for sure but I’m going to watch the video

@Coda It feels like jewelry to me and it also sounds epic. Thank you.

@LievenDV Yes, I can remember we were talking about this pedal some months ago and we all pretty much agreed it was too much price… but well… here we are.

@Ontime Thank you for recommendation, I did not think about that at all! I also checked if there is some update for my recent looper and it is!

@Prof_Thunder Price is really overkill, dont remind me that. But I really love it. When you put it in freeze mode the all leds are flashing lightly low and up. It can freeze the pitch.

I just watched the video of Paul Davids playing/recording in the unused nuclear reactor. What a wonderful video both visually and also sonically. It was very interesting to watch. Thanks Michal @Carreta for posting the link to the video.

@Prof_Thunder I am glad you like that. How I said… Paul is role model to me.
He has amazing playing, editing and production skills. And he is handsome (I hope my GF wont see that).

I really recommend to you watching any of his other video. Even when it is not something you want to learn.

We treat ourselves once in a while, stuff that prickles us, moves us, helps us express, …
after all, we never grow old and toys are fun!

$450 US?
I’m sticking with my:

$25-$50 US on reverb.com
Once you find your favorite type of reverb (mine is spring), just about any pedal (or built in amp FX) will do to be honest.

Enjoy your new pedal Michal.
It’s got to be a dandy if it sounds anything similar to playing in that power plant.
Oh My! That was too cool. Talk about natural reverb. That’s what any reverb should be trying to simulate. On board or pedal.

Thanks for sharing!

@CT The price is really NUCLEAR yeah… but I love that. I am happy you found the one that works for you too. I am now limited by my skills.

@HappyCat Yes, I love that video and also others presenting the pedal itself. There is so much and that freeze pitch seems like a thing.
