Was going to wait until closer to the holiday sales to see if the price dropped any but decided to pull the trigger on this today. Was trying to decide between this and the MOTU M2. I’ve got some friends that speak highly of UA so I went with this one.
I’ve been using the USB interface on my Yamaha THR5, but wanted something that also supported an XLR mic. I also wanted something that worked well with Linux as I am using Arch on my recording laptop. From the research I’ve done this device is Class Compliant and should work well.
Next, I’ll need to find an XLR mic, but I’ll probably hold off a bit to see if any on my wish list go on sale for the holidays.

It looks very similar to the Focusrite 2i2, with the same controls
Yeah. I had looked at that one too. It seems like a popular choice, but I saw some mixed posts on how well it worked with Linux. It seems like it works, but you may need to use some additional 3rd party tools for some configuration options.

I think they will probably be close to being the same spec, they are very familiar anyway hope you enjoy I am fairly new to it but I love it cheers Hec
My new interface just arrived a few minutes ago. I plugged it in, was able to select it as the ALSA device in Reaper and all seems to work flawlessly with no fuss or extra installations. Will probably try and record something with it tonight.
