And as a person being a bit nosy I would love to see what they are up to, similar to existing Who’s Online on mobile app.

This would require a plugin like this:
Who's Online Plugin (discourse-whos-online) - plugin - Discourse Meta

I’ll note it as a nice-to-have for now

Another vote for a who’s online/active user list.

Looks like that would be an avatar display looking at the plugins listed but guess we could live with that but could get messy ? I could not see an option in the specs for username only which would be preferable but I would add I did not dig to deep into that thread.
