I was looking at the Long & McQuade website when I noticed that my local store had a Boss SL-2 Slicer demo on sale for 25% off and even though I just binged on pedals over Christmas I had to do it. G.A.S. and FOMO can be a deadly combination!
This thing is going to cost me hours and hours of time and I love that!
What does it do?
That is a bit tricky to answer, basically, It chops up your guitar single and rearranges it into different rhythmic and or percussive patterns. You can also add sfx as well but I’m still working it all out.
If you are familiar with the Hologram Microcosm it is sort of similar in that they could both be thought of as a parallel instrument that you play with your guitar. I know that doesn’t make much sense but as I said, “odd.”
