@MAT1953
Yes, sorry, I meant Grade 3. Iāve been working on fingerstyle for a few songs for a while (almost a year), including Richardās Vintage Club Dust in the Wind fingerstyle lessons. Iām still not very good, but definitely seeing progress and loving the sounds I can make. Now that I know about the Grade 5 fingerstyle module Iāll probably take an early peek at those lessons and see what I can learn.
I like rock too. Iām probably not ready for that immersion course yet either (Iām still terrible at power chords, and have trouble getting motivated to practice them because it makes me sad to hear myself sounding like a wounded cat), but Iāll get there eventually.
haha, I can very well relate to that!
Did those when it came up with Justinās course and practiced a bit, but for a long time I didnāt like power chords because I couldnāt play them well. But by getting back to them just every now and then and practicing just a bit made it work a little better over time. Now I am really glad that I can have as much fun with the electric as with my acoustic (or nearly?).
Me too, I am generally following Justinās course in the normal order, but I also did this and think itās a good idea to look for things that you really love using the search function and to not be scared checking out lessons much later in the course.
@MAT1953, I know it is bad form to point folks toward other materials, but since there is a bit of a void here I will share this with you: https://www.youtube.com/@activemelody/search?query=folk
Brian over at ActiveMelody has a number of excellent tutorials including unaccompanied guitar (not to be confused with solo) lessons. If folk/country is your bag, I suggest joining as his content and learning tools are really exceptional

I know about the course you mention, as some at the guitar club follow him. I did look into it a while ago but at the time I felt what was being taught was way above my then current ability.
There are others out there that do a lot of fingerstyle lessons, perhaps Justin needs to develop that form of playing as I am sure there will be a lot out there that would be interested .
