I presume the dog died?
Sorry about that, man
If playing/recording helps, that’s a win
Playing music for a purpose is supercool
From a ‘critical’ point of view, I think this song benefits a lot from the lyrics, and I found those difficult to make out at times. I’m not sure if this was due to volume levels or the reverb. Maybe some more dynamics would help as well?
I remember the first video I ever saw of you years ago, on the old forum, and thought to myself:
"Definitely a midnight toker!"
Take care of yourself man
Yeah we had to put her down she was having really bad seizures
I had to record a song that was uplifting so I did this take of it.
It may be all the reverb and such in it, I can hear the lyrics clearly but your right sometimes its hard to make out, I probably need to adjust the volume levels better.
Its kinda my own version and i kinda sped the song up as well and sang it on what i thought sounded good!
Hey Byron,
You need to get out and around more to comment on other’s stuff…
On this one I have to agree with Brian. Simply way too much Reverb for my taste. Listen to most records and you never find that much verb. Consider tossing on some delay, with a touch of verb instead.
Kind of a bummer on the above as your play is good and I think with a bit of work you vox could be right in there. Backing vox would really help too. But that is ok if your aim was a cowboy-campfire style cover.
Just added extra Bass and vocals to the Wicked Game cover! One of my fav songs!! I reckon i need to get it right the first time!! Ill post it here as well!
