Hi again Albert!

So, just how “young at heart” are you? I’m closing in on 63… although I tell myself that I only feel about 50, often it’s more like 73!!!

Hello again Albert, welcome to the “old dogs” kennel. I’m 69 and closing in on 70 in a few months and still enjoy learning new tricks on the guitar.

Hi Tod. I’m a bit older than you, but only by months

Excellently worded. Many people will find reasons why not to start something new after a particular age.

Personally, I bought a guitar at 49, after having messed around with some basic chords in my teens, and have been loving my three year learning journey so far. I have really gotten into playing the guitar and it takes no effort to pick it up and practice for at least an hour per day. Noticing that several songs are now effortlessly in my go-to playlist, I realise that I have surpassed my own expectations and initial ambitions. More importantly, I have found a way of recharging after whatever life may throw my way. And the Nay-Sayers… they have fallen remarkably quiet.

Keep up the good practice and continue to be inspired.

Your words ring true for me @mdehamer. Music has always been part of the background of my life. Now it is a purpose.

Morning all, Ed from Essex, UK. Started learning Ukulele at 70 last year and decided I’d like to take up guitar as well a few months ago. Finding Justin’s course really enjoyable and basically having fun. Best wishes to all

Dankjewel, @roger_holland !

I must admit I post less than I would like, but read whenever I have some time.

A more elaborate introduction - and more active participation - will follow.
