I’m so old, I can’t remember if I signed up for the Older Students! 82 & a year & a half in. Great with memorizing the lyrics because they’re from my good old days, but need the sheet music for the chords. I need to write down the picking styles for each song because that slips my minds as well.

Thank goodness someone remembers!

Tried to learn with a book in high school back in the late 70’s. Much easier this time around with video! Thank you technology! I heard about Justin on Reddit. So glad I did.

Don’t worry Adriaan, you’re catching up with the rest of! Better play that guitar before your fingers become all arthritic, young man.

There’s feeling young and being young haha … hey, welcome to the kennel Adriaan, you’re in now and there’s no going back!

Hi Donna, @tietanic and Hi Michael @pasvorto And Hi Adriaan @adriaanbuys

Welcome here and I wish you a great trip :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

And Adriaan, we are actually puppies, but in a slightly older body… for example, I am much much stronger than in my youth… when I exercised/sport every day I could not lift 100 euros worth of groceries… now it is so super easy to lift 100 euro of groceries

@roger_holland Did you know that in some English speaking regions, ‘lift’ is a euphemism for take without paying … stealing … shoplifting.
Is that what you mean? In your mature years you’ve overcome your fears of arrest and become a robber!! haha

Hello there! My name is Eric. I just turned 40 and as a birthday present to myself I decided to learn to play the 6 string. Back in my early 20s I dabbled in bass playing. I could carry a rhythm but wasnt very proficient at it. I havent touched any instrument in many years. Recently ive been feeling like theres something missing from my life. I discovered that I have a burning desire to take learning the guitar very seriously. So i bought an acoustic and started from the bare basics of learning. Im new to Justin guitar and would love to connect and share ideas with any and all who want the same. I truly believe that an old dog can learn new tricks. I may not be as fast as I used to be, but my patience and perserverence will guide me. You arent alone.
