Oldshoremore

Here’s a wee song I wrote while I was on holiday at Easter (in a wee place called Oldshoremore in the far north west of Scotland). It’s a lovely place. I usually try to use something I’ve learned from Justin when writing a song. This was all about moveable chords - the whole song is a A shape moved up an down the neck (not barred).

That’s a really nice song Colin! Songwriting is surely something that engages you in a very positive way! Also I can hear your Tech Course is giving its fruits. Thanks for sharing

I may have been hearing this with my ‘Scottish Ears’: there was some combination of chords in the backing that made it sound a wee bit Scottish. Very enjoyable and, for me, evocative. Maybe you can make this old Scotsman happy and write your next one about Sandwood Bay!

Thanks for listening @beejay56! Believe it or not, the lyric “Stepping stones” refers to the walk to Sandwood Bay!
