Now I watched the two acts I unfortunately missed while being slightly stressed - @Alexeyd when I still fumbled with my setup. You were amazing! It’s such a pleasure to see and hear you!

And @MollyT I didn’t see you because I was starving and after playing I had to go and get me some food. Very beautiful songs, amazing playing and nice singing along!

And the recording has my performance hicupping. Strange - as I used a network cable. Will have to figure it out until next time!

Thank you so much Dom, you are too kind! I am still puzzled why my voice cracked up so badly half-way through the second song (although having watched it back I can hear the warning signs in the first song) - it threw me off course a bit. I have a vague memory of someone relating dairy product consumption to how clear your voice sounds - I had a couple of cheese sandwiches just before the OM - who knows? Next time I’ll have some brokkoli soup for dinner instead

I am still puzzled

Uhm… I noticed you ran a bit into problems with your voice and then, your playing was a tiny bit unsecure, but I only noticed nuances of all this, it really didn’t disturb the great performance of yours! Such wonderful fingerpicking - I love to do it too, but my capabilities in the field are quite limited yet!

Oh my, I’m a little bit overwhelmed by the kindness of all of you! Thanks so much, I’m glad it went well and worked out. I was a little nervous and needed a few mins to get my brain sorted and get out some proper English words. But glad it didn’t show too much.

Also, I’d like to thank all the folks that keep the show running: Richard for organizing the stuff currently, Phil for fab job on spotlighting and muting, David for having my back during soundcheck and being there “just in case” as an overall support, it felt like a safety net to me. Thanks to JK for the video edit. And also, Toby, glad to have seen you back. It always helps to know the Madman is there watching, and think you also helped with the muting (the right people… ). And of course all the others behind the scenes that were off duty for the last OM, but keep on being there if needed.

Of course, a big thank you to all our performers! You all gave your best and did well up that stage and turning the OM into the fantastic show as always. It was a delightful and entertaining evening and each of you made it easy for me to move through it smoothly.
The variety of genres is one of the most striking things about the OMs. I get to know lots of great stuff I would otherwise miss (even when Brian is not participating!).

Last but not least: Thanks dear people in the audience (live or aftershow recording) - you keep the shows alive.

Hope to do the MC again in the future - and be awake enough for the after show chat.

Hello everyone

Yesterday I had a highly enjoyable evening watching the recording of the OM.
Again I hadn‘t been able to attend live on a Saturday evening, so I‘m always very thankful for the recordings. They have become a great archive already.

As soon as I read the familiar names of the performers, I had been sure that the evening would be very pleasant. And I was right, I‘ve enjoyed all performances a lot.

There had been such a great variety of different songs, styles and even instruments.

A huge „Thank You!“ to everyone who was involved - in front of or behind the camera

„The Wakeup“ had been a perfect start of the event. You really raised the bar for the evening with your very advanced performance. Great technique, timing and dynamics, and that guitar tone was beautiful. I enjoyed both instrumentals a lot.

What a lovely gift from your nephew! Such a catchy song (with lots of lyrics!). You really were the „Guitar Man“ of the evening.

You rocked and picked two great songs. It was nice to learn about the interesting background stories behind the songs. I especially liked the great techniques, these bendings and vibratos were perfect. And the „helicopter-effect“ was awesome.

You two are such a great duo and picked two lovely songs for us. I enjoyed your beautiful playing and singing a lot - and a highlight surely was the ukulele!

You are a great duo, Mark and Jen. Great playing and singing (I loved the bass guitar). And it was great to see and hear the new guitar with the ship on the fretboard. I guess it must be a very special feeling to perform on a self-built instrument. You can be very proud of it! It looks and sounds beautiful.

We had two Green Day- songs earlier. And there is another GD-song called „Nice Guys Finish Last“. I had to think of this title when you closed the event with two beautiful songs. Great singing and playing - I especially enjoyed the picked outro of „Mad World“. Your performance had been the perfect finale of the evening.
