Stefan I was happy to hear you resolved the issue but kinda glossed over your post. But I have to ask, exactly what did you change ? There’s a good reason for this question, based on my previous reply.

Well the only thing I changed was checking the monitoring was on. With the backing track not being armed the monitoring button was not showing, so I went into my preferences and turned that to, always on. I made sure it was monitoring the backing track and hey presto.
