Oye como va

@J.W.C
Yes, Jason, this is a Casino. She’s a foreign Casino but still … love the sound. Even though she’s foreign, she’s still much better than I am … :grinning: Maybe one day, I’ll buy a nice and old US Casino. Last year I changed the bridge (better sustain and centred sound). Should be coming back from luthier in about a week for second change : Change the plastic nut for a bone nut. Should change something in the sound. We’ll see. Also I come back to gage 10 strings. I tried gage 9 and loved the left hand fell but hate the sound. Felt I lost the « Casino sound » just by changing the strings gage for smaller. Finally, isn’t it exactly why I bought this guitar if not for this particular sound… So I’m eager to have her back home…

Thanks again Jason :sunglasses:

Hey guys ! Thank you so very much for your so kind and nice words. Means a lot to me.

Doing everything in some of my music videos is quite a chalenge. I’m not a guitarist (not really… not yet), not a keys player, not a studio technician, not a video technician… So, I can just do the best I can and have fun. But I don’t think I will put THAT MUCH energy on every tape I will do. Lots of fun but LOTS of work.

Thanks you all again !

Thank you Silvia !

Well there Luc,
I have to say, welcome to the club of full scaled productions! You played more of your instruments than I do, as I normally play or have someone play guitars. Most of the rest I do with sims. But take keys for instance. A good keyboard player that can sight read music might whack out the keys in 10 to 60 minutes. For me to hand program them can take 1-5 times that long. Add in the bass (which I want to play for real on more stuff in 23’) and drums, and it gets time intensive. Then there is the vox to pull off!

The video aspect, shooting it or assembling it from the Net, editing and what not can easily take more time than the music production, depending on what you do. Add it all up and I get something like at least 10 - 20 hours per song. I have also seen it take months and into the hundreds of hours to make such a production. If I collaborate with others, than can take a lot of scheduling to make happen and slow things down.

In the end, this is my hobby and I do it to try and keep this old codgers mind fresh and working. It is an expensive hobby though as I love GAS. :slight_smile:

At any rate, all the best to you in 23’ and I do hope you put out more full productions as they are rewarding to do. These days that is about all I do…

That was brilliant Luc. Impressive stuff playing those different instruments and it was all nicely brought together too. You looked to be really enjoying yourself as well.
