I would like to share with you my latest skill that I am working on and I can see some shape so I am not shy to share anymore.
It is percussive hit with thumb while performing fingerstyle blues with walking base line.
I really like this piece, because it seems fun and vibe to me.
I can see where are my “gaps” and what to work on - like distance for thumb when going for hit or when I am switching from low E to A string.
I am really enjoying my time with Pioneer… a little bit too much. Last week it was daily hours… that my left wrist started to weak and injure little, so I had break for 2 days and now I am looking for some ganja/canabis/weed ointment.
Btw, I got really long hair… I need to cut them really soon. In my eyes I look really old here.
@Beatup6String Well Furch Pioneer is all solid and sound is really great. I recorded this to my external microphone Rode Video Mic GO II connected to iPhone 12.
But for this recording I did first ever little mix to sound. You can check other videos of mine so you can hear not edited sound, but with this I just cleared it a little.
Maybe if you share your technique video we can discuss it. I can already see there are many ways to do percussive hits.
Very nice my friend. You have a quite relaxed, cruisy vibe, which comes through in your playing. I’ve been enjoying all your performances.
Keep em comin young man.
@sairfingers Thank you. That is great point. I got times when I need and when not… for this tune I am not in that stage I dont need to watch anymore. But I am working on that.
Hey Carreta! Anybody that puts out a walkin’ bass line has me listenin’ so keep on with that.
Overall, I heard you playing a very enjoyable tune with this just now. Keep on because it does sound good!!
@Bytron08 Haha, thank you. My surname is “Kareta” and that is name for sea turtle. I thought this would be great idea to alive it little in my guitar journey.
