Perfect by Ed Sheeran - Day 100 of learning Guitar

Been following the JG program everyday for the last 100 days since I bought my Guitar on Jan 24. What a fun challenge this has been!
For a change, I’ve been practicing all down 6/8 strumming pattern which felt REALLY awkward coming from the usual D-DU-UDU.

Please suggest any changes I should make here. I’d like to make this song my first song to sing in public eventually when I get to that level - maybe a wedding

Well done, Aroon,

Accurate chord changes and good sense of timing. Nice singing too. I think you played that 6/8 rhythm well. I liked how you accented beat one of every bar.

Next thing to try would be to add some more dynamics. Try making the verse the quietest part and the chorus the loudest part.

Nice freaking work, Aroon! Very cool that you’re only 3 months in and already working on singing+playing at the same time!

6/8m strumming felt pretty good to me.

Thank you. It came at the cost of slowing my guitar learning progress because I only learned to play what I wanted to sing. I actually started singing and playing together since Week 5 (Knockin on Heavens Door). Thank you for your feedback. I’ve seen some of your uploads as well, and have enjoyed watching your progress too!

[Lack of] Dynamics has been a common theme for me. Thank you for pointing that out. Ill try to pay attention to dynamics when I practice next time

Aroon

Confidently played and sung: encore!
