Pics of your ‘set up’

That’s a super cool room @lraesly. What’s in that rack of stuff on the left?

Thanks! I’ve been playing on and off since the 90’s and the rack contains pretty much the last vestiges of the analog era (for rack equipment).

I have a PreSonus StudioLive 16 track mixer (new addition) on top. From the top down, there is a Scarlett rack input (18i or something), equalizer for the Tannoy speakers mounted high, a Roland JV-1080 midi unit for the keyboard, an old tube-based guitar processor, Digitech 2112 Guitar Processor, from the 90’s that I don’t really use anymore but I also don’t have anything to fit in the space- so just there. And finally an amp for the Tannoy’s.

What I really enjoy is the Line 6 Helix on the floor. Great sound and lots of options. I just have to be careful I don’t spend too much time tinkering and not playing/practicing.

Thanks for the look!

That’s a nice space and a cool setup. Quite professional! Wow, and a drumkit and keyboard too…cool!

A tele, couple of acoustics, keys, mic, drums, helix & pedal board, monitors…
I hope that’s a bass hanging up on the left, cause that’s the only thing missing for the full band recording :open_mouth: :grinning:
Wow!

Surprised I haven’t seen this thread before!!

Nice looking board Mark. What have you got on there?

Some Scouser nicked the rest of your car?
That ‘office’ does not look like a lot of work gets done in it

Just started off with my “set up”, so my “man Cave” is a combined cinema, home office and now a place to learn to play guitar. :innocent:

@SgtColon - Cheers Stefan!! The board itself is a little extravagant, one of the new-ish Fender ones, in terms of pedals:

  • Boss compression / sustainer
  • Dunlop Fuzz Face Mini
  • Tone City Bad Horsie Overdrive
  • Landlord Taproom Delay
  • Tone City Angel Wing Chorus - superb pedal for the price
  • Fender Hammertone Reverb
  • TC Electronic Ditto+ Looper
  • Trio+ Band creator & looper - by far and away the best pedal on there for what it does for musicianship.

Up on the top of it is the Airstep for my Yamaha THR and a Tone City Funny Boy Autowah which is a bit meh, so it’s not hooked up.

I shouldn’t have typed all that out, it’s a bit stark of how much money’s gone into those

@brianlarsen I’ve no idea what you could possibly mean…I’m working right now, erm… And the Scoused car is my other hobby, albeit there’s more time strumming thatn driving these days.

Wow Christian!!!

Nice collection there Mark. I guess when you buy one at a time it soon builds up.

I take it from you buying pedals that your amp doesn’t do it all for you? How do you find using the board as you are playing?

Yes it’s a definite rabbit hole, I must unsubscribe to Andertons TV  I’d still love a Strymon Cloudburst however…but I really can’t justify that!!

The board is more for playing through the Blackstar, which does have built in reverb but the Fender Hammertone has more options. The Yamaha THR has plenty of built in effects so the Trio+ and Ditto are all I really use through that.

Playing wise, I don’t tend to switch much during a song, so not much dancing learnt just yet, again it’s more the Trio where I “need” to with some songs I’ve programmed to switch on any loops of kick in the band after song intros.

O my … That’s a lot Justin … and you will be completely shocked with some old video where a Tasmanian Devil screams at the end
greetings

  They are great video’s to watch though. Best thing to do is just go with the Grange Hill ethos.

I have to admit I really like the idea of a pedalboard and I’m sure it’s something that will come at some point.

Thanks! The guitar on the left is an Epiphone setup for learning slide. But… bass is there just off camera. The big amp under the keyboard is a bass amp (when needed).

Now I just need a band…

I started out on piano years ago but now focus just on guitar. Drums were a diversion over covid!

Wow, there are some amazing pictures of your practice spaces, music rooms and studios in this thread :star_struck:

I’m impressed. Very cool stuff :sunglasses: :+1:
I guess it is important to have some nice and cosy surroundings for the daily practice routine.

My own modest practice space is just the sofa in the living room with an amp next to it. Wouldn’t make much sense to post a picture of my couch

In a corner of the room my three guitars are waiting to be played …

You can see Blackie on the right, the Red Special in the middle, and my air guitar on the left.

Still trying to figure out where the slide projector is hidden
That’s a great space to play in Christian !

I practice guitar playing in my home office/man cave (with my recliner on the left side of the room out of frame):

@Cop That’s the ultimate man cave setup

Sim rig, fanatec gear, McLaren CSL wheel… wow. iRacing or assetto corsa?

I used to sim a lot, with similar gear - which led into a real life track obsession. Although I’ve put both to the side for now. I sold my sim gear in 2022 after I realised I was playing guitar all the time instead of simming. How long have you been into it?
