Big win on my guitar journey! I played in public for the first time! I had a friend who was doing a demonstration on the science of sound and I brought my guitars in for him to use and I noodled around in front of a few coworkers. Far cry from an open mic but a step in the right direction. Hooray for little wins!

Congratulations Liz! The first time I played in front of people was at one of Justin’s workshops four years ago. Equal parts terror and horror! To my surprise no one came up afterwards and pointed out the 63 missed notes, 18 off strums, 14 mistakes in lyrics, or that there was mustard on the front of my pants 
!
Hopefully you have more and more fun every time you perform in the future. Thanks for sharing a part of your experience. Perhaps it will inspire someone here to go out and play in their community too!
