All five of us played guitars in the same class in May and Jun. Since some people played other instruments before (drums, bass) and some like to sing, we got an idea… :slight_smile:
Interestingly, fully equiped (drums, 2 guitar 100w orange tube amps with 4x12 cabs, bass amp, PA system - mixer and 2 speakers, mics) rehersal space for 4 hours costs equivalent to two beers in a pub per person. That is absolutely amazing for expensive London, but also probably shows the lack of demand. :frowning: Thank you Tosh!

Thank you Mathieu! I did feel a bit nervous at the beginning, but all disappeared once we started playing. We did prepare very well, I can play these songs now if you wake me in the middle of night. :slight_smile:
Our biggest worry was how the levels of instruments and voice will be, as we got that wrong number of times in rehersal. Luckily, people at the venue are very experienced with these things, they set us up really well. :slightly_smiling_face:

That’s a pretty sweet deal (although you can pay £9/10 a pint in London if you want!!)
I use a similarly equipped space in Aylesbury that costs £20 / hour (although we don’t pay as two of the band work at the venue).
Whereabouts in London are you? I get over there from time to time, would be good to see you guys play.

That comes to £16 per person for 4 hours, exactly what we pay. Two beers are £14 on average in London.

I am in North London. Let me know when you are in London, we can organise something. :slightly_smiling_face: I am not sure when we will play next time - there is a bigger event in February, but not sure if we can get in. We will try.

I’m in Aylesbury, so train to Marylebone is easy. I’ve got friends and family in North West London where I grew up (well, just inside the M25 - Ruislip / Hillingdon / Uxbridge).
