Last Saturday night our band played live for the first time. I had so much fun, I really enjoyed it. It was an amazing experience. There were little nerves in the beginning, but the friendly and supportive crowd makes all the difference. This is genuinely the in-person version of Justin Guitar community.
We started practicing together once a week since July. I had very little proper and structured guitar practice since then. Instead, I practiced and played lots of songs and had the best time so far on my guitar journey.
The compact mash up of our six songs is below. I hope you like it.
That’s awesomwe Boris - there’s nothing like playing in a band to accelerate your progress Performing only gets easier!
Not able to watch the Youtube now, but looking forward to it later!
Nice one Boris, a live audience cannot be beaten. Learning songs is one of the better ways of getting to grips with playing guitar. Plus actually making music is such a joy.
I can’t agree more. I feel my rhythm improved significantly in the past four months and I never missed motivation to practice. Thank you guys.
@domi7
Thank you Dominique. If you are ever in London, let me know - there are many small events here. We will find something.
@GrumpyMac Thank you Deborah. I didn’t mention it here until we have at least first gig. The next one for me is to record a Christmas song for your thread.
Congratulations Boris! Nice compact mashup, and I hear a couple of cool guitar solos from you and the other guitarist. Great to read you enjoyed it so much
WOW WOW WOW . . . the first time live, Boris. You all looked so accomplished, like old pros. The songs were great, and your compilation perfect. Some great music and a fabulous vocalist fronting the band.
well done all of you! As has been said by others there is nothing better than putting practise into “application” and play actual music with and for real people.
Thank you! I also played Zombie and Cherry Bomb original short solos, but this one on Dreams was arranged by me and hence, favourite.
I thought that Go your own way solo was fantastic. It is a combination of original and improv and I heard my colleague guitarist play it differently many times - the live version sounded amazing to me.
