Here’s your workbook for Grade 4.2 of our Practical Music Theory Course.
I made the Quiz today dir Grade 4. I finished grade 4 abputzen One year ago. 95% and the only mistake I was how to call chords with /. I thought to myself of course slash chords because this is a slash.
I introduced myself and now I am trying to leave a comment below the video but I haven’t figured it out yet. I have finished music theory 4.1 and I am starting 4.2.
The link in the workbook to interactive quiz 4.2 takes you to the 4.1 quiz.
In the “Name the Key” exercise on page 19, the chord progressions in questions 3 and 5 appear to have two keys that would be correct. Any hints as to determine which key would be the correct one?
Just checked my question and for the exercise I see that quiz question 5 (chord prog C#m – D – C#m – D) cannot be in the key of D since the C#m would be diminished, not minor, but for question 3 I am still unclear.
Are the 2 Keys you’re thinking of the Relative Major and minor of each other?
Yes, it’s possible to have 2 correct answers to Q3 in this exercise.
Great! Thanks.
The better (not categorically correct) choice is the first chord in the 4-chord progression.
