fantastic website and app, super inspiring and motivating.

I’ve been taking the lessons in the app and always do my exercises and try some songs. already in module 7.
questions: are we supposed to strum in the practice songs already? I usually only focus on getting the right cord as it pops up… tried to strum but its super hard… at least for a beginner like me

I noticed on your play through that you are lifting your fingers off of the chords. Can you explain the purpose or how to do it without losing rhythm?

It’s a muting technique to stop the strings from ringing out. The purpose is to give it a swing rhythm. The best thing to do is learn the easy version with old faithful before attempting to add the string muting. Once you have the rhythm solid with no mistakes then try and add the muting.
