Professional setup on my Taylor

A while back, in another thread, I mentioned that I was going to take my Taylor 114e acoustic to a well-regarded luthier here in town for a professional setup. Today is the first chance to play it since I got it back, and the difference in playability is clearly noticeable.

He not only lowered the action some, but he found that the low E and A string nut slots were too high, so he cut them to the proper spec. That alone has made a big difference on barre chords.

I still stink, but I can no longer lay any blame on the guitar.

I’ve heard good things about Maton guitars. I believe that’s what Tommy Emmanuel uses.
