Rehearsal recording: Nothing Compares 2 U

I didn’t “produce” much.
I recorded dry and wet vocal and guitar on my Mod Devices Dwarf, threw them in reaper, blended the dry and wet and that was it. I love it when I can keep that simple!

Keep it simple is good…and it sounded very good

Sounded fantastic Lieven. Definitely similar to Chris Cornell’s version, which I’d listened to just the other day. Don’t be harsh on yourself, that was stage worthy.

What a moving version of this song, gave me shivers, Lieven, playing and vocals both are so expressive. Simply beautiful.

Excellent. Intonation of your voice is outstanding. Dynamics are fantastic. Playing is great. I am curious to know how you recorded your voice. Is there some reverb on it or is that just the room sound?

Nice,
Production in the guitar and vox tones are spot on. Vox is very complimentary to the guitar play. Both are excellent. I really like it, Almost has a J Lennon type feel to it in places. Keep up the vibe there humble mod!

Lieven, so good on all counts. Think you said you’re channeling Chris Cornell but I think you’ve also captured the emotion of Sinead O’Connor as well.

Did I really not reply / comment here?

I’m a bad, bad boy.
