Explanation please (or point me to the right place) of how to provide a single reply to multiple previous posts. Also if I use the @mention feature to highlight a contributor in my reply not all of the usernames of participants in the thread are listed?
Hi @JohnnyW
You can only click the ‘reply’ button one time.
If you choose the big orange one at the bottom of a topic, it is a general reply to that topic.

If you choose the grey one under a specific post, it will show as a reply to that post.

If you want to make one post that addresses multiple people, use the orange one and, for each of your individualised comments, tag the people you are addressing using the @ symbol immediately before typing their user name.
There is a limit on how many tags you can use in one post but for most purposes you will be fine.
Thank you Richard, got it now.
Hope to be with you on Monday.
also, you can select a piece of text in someone’s post als select “quote” from the little menu that appears.
A new post window will open up for you with that part of the text selected as quotes. You can type under it.
The quote in your new post will look like this:
Selecting other pieces of text of people and clicking “quote” will automatically add these quotes to that new post you were making, no need to make separate posts!
(I love that functionality)
That way you can answer several quotes in one post.
Thank you Lieven @LievenDV, your explanation of how to handle multiple replies/quotes has sorted the issue I was having. I also had not realised I needed to start typing a username for the @mention feature to display all of the relevant Users. Put it down to my age!
Don’t worry. I’m 43 and trying to use some basic tools for the first time to fix a home trainer bike. We don’t take immediate adoption for all these functionalities for granted here and this is exactly why we are here! ![]()
