Rhythm Exercises

Hi All,

Looking for some fun rhythm/timing exercises to improve my rhythm. I’ve looked at playing over a backing track and using the 2-3 diagonal scale method which will also improve my scale knowledge. I do use the metronome with some exercises but you can appreciate it does get boring LOL…
I do have JG Rhythm Reading Book - Can I use that with a metronome to practise strumming and rhythm. I know it’s more used for clapping or tapping with your foot?
Any other suggestions…
I can do improvisation with backing tracks in certain keys which I’m super happy about

helllo

Have you tried this ?

Hello

I did use the Strumming SOS for a year, maybe I need to use it again…

This is the best thing I’ve found for improving rhythm.

Have you tried this one?

I’ll give it a go, I do use the metronome for a lot, so I’ll add this into my practise.

Try this one too Rachel

Hi Rachel, I practice on the JG Rhythm Book and try to follow the instructions given, which are clear enough and slowly helped me to develop my timing and Rhythm skills.
