It’d be nice to give some idea what it’s about to help decide whether I want to click on the link. There are lots of people named Rick and Kirk.

Aye, the link didn’t create the preview as normal. Must be an Instagram thing?

That may be an interesting interview to catch, if indeed that was on the go when the picture was taken.

Thanks Dave

The interview is on YouTube, Rick Beato, and judging from other interviews I have seen by Rick will be worth a look.

Sure this came up in my YouTube feed a few days back but can’t see it on RB’s channel now. Do some digging later.

@TheMadman_tobyjenner As I recall he has 2 channels, Toby, if so maybe on the other?

It’s still in ‘coming soon’ mode I think

Toby, perhaps subscribe to his channel, you will then see it. He does make some good viewing, and he really knows what he talks about.

I watched this last night. I found him interesting and engaging.

Couldn’t help but notice the first song he called out as inspiration was Highway Star

Lovely stories about Greenie. For those not in the know, Greenie is a famous guitar originally owned by Peter Green, then Gary Moore, and now Kirk. It is pretty unique due to it’s neck pickup. @TheMadman_tobyjenner Hope you didn’t have a bad flashback in that moment.

@liaty Hey Dave, finally got round to watching this. Really enjoyed the interview, some great insights into Kirk’s playing and history. However, almost cried when he told the anecdote about losing his phone with hundreds of riffs he’d come up with on there! :sob: Can you imagine??! All those potentially killer Hammett riffs, gone to dust… :skull_and_crossbones: Going to take me a while to get over that…

:smiling_face_with_tear: Don’t worry Jeff, it means that there’s still some left for you to discover. The thing that I heard and I keep hearing from these type of interviews is how you need to be able to play naturally without thinking, to get your best out - but to get to that point your training should be super disciplined and mindful.

That’s a good insight mate :sunglasses::+1: definitely something to take away from these legends… Now to start working on that!:sweat_smile:
