Thought I’d try to take a guitar/holiday photo in the style of Bob Dylan’s Nashville Skyline album cover. Clearly too much lunchtime

Yes, really bizarre on such a beautiful weekend day … on this side of the restaurant hardly anyone and on the other side 150/200 meters from us there was like an ant nest (I looked to see if Brian was walking around for some “entertainment” 
)
The last time in a guitar shop (about a year ago) was the first time I felt wonderful there with a few regular fingerstyle songs that I could play… here on the beach
It was just a bit difficult to hear the strings so unamplified … it’s not allowed there on that part (also no radio) and the two closest people didn’t look with their happy faces when the guitar appeared (they didn’t look nice either, I’ll spare you further details), but I was already called crazy, which I understood because I heard her say “look what that weirdo in that wheelchair wants to do” she thought I wanted to go completely on the sand to the water … probably also because I said that out loud to my girl … 
But in general you are right Andrea about getting out a guitar, if someone else would do it and play some (even semi) quality tunes I would be quickly satisfied…

I fully agree with what you and Andrea write about air conditioning and such, that is also the reason it is not hanging here, I was able to have one installed almost for free when we had solar panels installed 2 years ago… most people thought we were completely crazy for saying no to it (if there will soon be a record heat wave and even more of that, please don’t remind me of this while I sweat all day long with that plastic pillow in my back and on which I sit )
and oooo my goodness, those cyclists hit the asphalt so hard every race a lot of them

At the introduction ( post 31 in this topic) I called the guitar a “Black…decapitated …woman” and labeled it as woman but, because a man around my neck all day long doesn’t sound attractive… but I see the guitars as they are… a thing, a piece of wood with strings and some additions, and I don’t give them a name either, because when I call them they stay where they are, they don’t listen… (forgot my my girls name because of that …noooo)

This behaviour makes me so 
. Why for heaven’s sake shouldn’t a person in a wheelchair go to the beach? And maybe even swimming? That’s what I love about Italy. They think about their old or disabled persons. In their bagnos, people who need any kind of help get accompagnied into the water and back. Nobody even wonders why a 95 year old person still wants to swim. They just do it.
Idiots! (Good that I haven’t been there, I’m not a extroverted person, but in such cases I tend to confront them with their silly statements!)
Now, back to work, have a nice day and don’t forget to pet all your wonderful plants in the garden

in the first photo a familiar one to some of you and a piece of one of the many large trucks that are fully loaded where we were just 1 day late in Harderwijk…so no pics and video sound from some bands
A foto from the restaurant from where we could see the stage from the terras on the left side …but now another quiet beach in front , well Monday, but that photo around 4 o’clock and almost nobody arround or in the water??
We also thought about you Andrea and asked whether these people knew you or Dominique
This is a photo taken by my wife from a high vantage point, from me to a low point with the water up to my nose level.
This is a tribute to the many downed aircraft and their crews from many countries above this water that extends far on both sides… it made us realize a lot again.
next time pay more attention to the days when we want to visit a music festival,but month as the last day of vacation is also a bit strange

Ooo, you let me shaking me hard here, no, I’m bringing it a bit wrong I think… it was really impossible to go through that soft sand with my wheels, there was no way, even if 4 people pulled on it, I would reach the waterline there…
By the way, you are right about the differences in countries, in my country I am the most discriminated group in the country and Human Right Watch and Amnesty International has reprimanded the Netherlands several times (okay, I’m glad I’m not black and a woman, if so with a big handicap you’re really screwed here )
… but they where not nice people anyway

Yes, I stand to what I said in general, but already writing it, I thought of the place I’m writing it - your place, Rogier, and talking about people wanting too much comfort these days, I didn’t mean to include you. I don’t feel in a position to say anything alike and direct it to you. Sorry if I have difficulties to put my fellings in easy to understand words. I am wishing you definitely a bit more comfort than I’d grant myself!

I remember silly people on beaches too not people in wheelchairs I mean, but those looking discrediting and making un-nice comments about others. Those should be banned from beaches, better stay in the cafe-bakery and eat their daily cake…

Yesterday my wife’s youngest sister became a mother for the first time and I thought it would be a nice idea this morning to write a song…
There were doubts about posting this in “originals” but there is a chance that some of you will recognize the melody, it has been played once or twice more… The lyrics came naturally after many hours or 1 hour or maybe after a minute and the song wrote itself…

When Oscar grows up, and realises ‘Uncle Rogier’ is not from this planet, the lyrics might make more sense to him…
I watched and listened carefully, and it’s below even me to comment on the slightly crooked capo, if that’s my only criticism.

The funny thing is that I let my wife choose between this and ‘Happy First day’ where the meter is much better and of course it sings easier… but much less funny so it became this one and then she said and I quote “are you going to put this online too? Let’s see if those people still accept videos of you not singing”
and Dominique …no not yet, I have several fingerstyle projects ,and this is the 2nd day that I sing more than 1 sentence during my guitar journey and that only in very rare cases
Fortunately, the opening notes flow together with the words (I can’t say it any better), but finger style and singing is a difficult thing if it really becomes a text or a less well-known song, because this tune was somewhere in my head pretty soon

Pff you should see that thing when I’m doing B7 (1st and 2nd fret) against the capo, then I push it even more crooked very quickly, still try to do something about it…I even bought another one (this one) with the lowest possible protrusion ,I could find those days…
Yes I did it and the good thing is that I was able to post this with a much better feeling than I ever expected with singing…long road but I’m going to get there
