Roger's rock on wheels

NO! Just read your post, so funny :joy:!

Never ever heard something like this before :joy: :joy: :joy:! Ok, you were very small…
Let’s check where Exit or Uscita is! Brian will pin those on his map .

Ahhhhhhrgh… as a native Bavarian, all those faked Oktoberfest parties are giving me shivers down my back…, although Oktoberfest in Munich is almost not more than a huge collective booze and money printing machine anymore :joy:.

Happy to hear you had lots of fun at that spectacle and enjoyed the day!

Greetings :lotus: :hibiscus:

Terrific sentiment from Willie Nelson Rogier. Unfortunately further comment will get me banned by the mods!

Yes, when our kids were small and we took them to Germany, these signs were a source of great amusement.

I see you’re getting a jump on Oktoberfest :clinking_beer_mugs: nothing like beating the crowds. Looks like you had a fun time.

I would have loved to see you in a Lederhose, Rogier! :joy:

Oh and PS: I had the same issue with Ausfahrt as a child, even though it’s my mothertongue. :woman_facepalming:

Funnily enough there is an existing Autobahnausfahrt called “Lederhose” like the little village in Thuringia :joy:!

That looks like a nice party!
And 55 mins to Bavaria is quite fast, you must have found a shortcut!

Hi People :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Yesterday I checked the phone every now and then because someone was visiting who wanted to brighten up that day for me, which was not necessary but was meant kindly… and I was happy with the messages… well …verry nice to read your words Andrea @Helen0609 and see the hard laughs :grinning_face_with_big_eyes: …but

Didn’t the mods make it clear to you NOT to :screwdriver: :ant: when it should be clear that small and little could mean the same thing in Dutchies :face_with_raised_eyebrow:
:see_no_evil_monkey: :joy:

:scream: You brute, it’s nice to read that there are more and that it is therefore common in every language for …little  children, but apparently that was planned in our sweet heads by mean parents … :joy:
( I laughed at it several times yesterday and today )

I have had less confusion because we hardly drove on the Italian highway in the first few years

:joy: For a long time I thought that was a joke near Munich …

Yes, I typed ‘Disco’ but I just meant a dance and “sing along” part in the style like at the big October festival, the big difference is that there were orchestras in several tents on high square stages with quite bad music often ( 26 years ago so not all clear (but … in the 5 days that I was there spinning/drinking around) … a little less than half the time trumpet trobone accordion and other instruments helped to further destroy the completely intoxicated drunken horny crowd :upside_down_face: … seeing so many people being taken away and lined up outside on stretchers and ambulances back and forth to the emergency hospitals… unbelievable what I saw there. and experienced…I lets look Sodom and Gomora seem like loving sweet places :scream:

Thanks Silvia @Silvia80 and Rick @stitch :grinning_face_with_big_eyes:
:smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

That’s not good for anyone… no, it was just too expensive for those few hours… now we had already spent 95 euros (without driving), which is quickly a nice guitar pedal

No Dominique @domi7 I was wrong ,it was 1,06 minutes from door to door Nijkerk - Emmerich …and It is 65 km and 54 minutes driving at 100 km per hour and I am in Germany … My wife does have a slightly heavier right foot

Greetings :trumpet: :drum:

Ps :

I expected a little more from you and Brian…bummer

:joy: …noooo .
sometimes a video says enough

Greetings

‘New Brian’ is on best behaviour
Besides, nothing new under the sun…
I’ve been reminiscing a bit on Bloom County, one of my favourite comic strips from the early 80’s.
Here you go

Andrea and Brian @brianlarsen

Lederhose is only like 20 to 30 mins drive from the place where I grew up and my parents still live.

@roger_holland

Next time you give us a heads up, I am pretty sure we would have collected enough donations to get you a nice Lederhose (and a pedal as bait). :joy:

Hi Lisa @Lisa_S
:joy: … you always have them that live in/near strange names, oh well, I live right next to ‘Hell’

I will send you my address where the pedals can go

Oooooo Else @LadyOfTheCastle :joy:This is so funny (if you don’t think too hard about it) because I immediately thought of what our satirical programs would make of this. and if our government had not fallen (2x the same ( but halved ) government ???) M Faber would have ordered 1000+ of these if you had tipped her off …

sorry for all the non-Dutch speakers, but further explanation will lead to further statements that will sooner or later send me into some sort of frenzy … :baby_angel:
And it is easy to find if you want …

Greetings ( I still have to chuckle a little at the sign :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:)

Being slightly familiar with a North German dialect is enough to see how funny it is

But why does it say 2? Ist there another one still @LadyOfTheCastle
