Love them or hate them, the four lads from Brum left one hell of a legacy.
Would have loved to have been there.
Thank you lads.

Neither love nor hate for them, but would prefer to give them my hard-earned shekels than the Gallagher brothers…
Black Sabbath featured large in my formative musical years … listening to music and playing power chord riffs.
My eldest sister had their first album and when I visited her house she played it for me on the stereo system, loud and raw. That was a monumental moment for a young teenager and my life was changed. In years that followed soon after I bought all their albums up to Technical Ecstasy with Ozzy plus Heaven and Hell with Dio. I saw Ozzy on the Blizzard of Ozz tour (with Randy Rhoads) at Middlesbrough Town Hall and Black Sabbath (with Ronnie James Dio) at Newcastle City Hall (Heaven & Hell tour) and Scarborough Spa (Mob Rules tour). Tony Iommi was one of my first guitar ‘heroes’ - those riffs just killed me. They are still unrivalled for power and groove. The whole band rocked and rolled.
It looked like a great concert and I am keeping fingers crossed for a physical release down the line.
The first thing I ever learnt to play on a guitar was the Paranoid riff back at school in the early '90s.
While I love early Sabbath, it is the Tony Martin era that I have a soft spot for, my cassette tape of Headless Cross seeing a lot of action back in the day
I saw them play with Ozzy at Ozzfest in Milton Keynes in the late '90s. Amazing show but I remember being burnt to a crisp in the heat that year
I watched the stream of the concert, it was pretty well-organized and entertaining, although I’ve never been very keen on metal.
It was great to see the original Sabbath lineup play for one last time, even if it was only 4 songs. I’m sure Ozzy gave as much as was realistically possible in his condition.
Me too, the line up and special guest are amazing.
I have been watching it all morning. Its absolutly fantastic.
KK Downing, Jake E Lee, Rudy Sarzo, its great to see those guys up there ripping it up. It was also cool seeing Zakk Wylde. That guy is a monster. Imagine playing Pantera (in thebband now) in the morning and then reunited again that night with Ozzy. That was good to see.
I have not gotten through everything yet but Mastadon and Anthrax were great. GnR, slash is such a shredder. Even the drum off was amazing. I am still watching, but picking and choosing what I can find.
Wow Richard, those are amazing showes. I was lucky and saw Ozzy on the Diary Madman tour In Tucson Convention Center. I had no idea how special at the time i was not a teen yet. But I was when he came back in 84 with Motley Crew and he was a mess. It still rocked. And the lord of Darkness gets a pass from me.
The Heven and Hell has one of my all time favorite album art covers ever. Dio was amazing in his own right. (RIP)
Mob Rules is a great song.
Richard you were so metal.
Me too.
Didn’t know it had been streamed. Do you have a link ?
I do, it is a play list. A couple have been removed already. The GnR, mercury records wants their piece. Haha

Cool thanks for that, will take my time and enjoy the gig.
Similar story here: my older sister had Paranoid, Mob Rules, Volume 4 and Born Again on vinyl, and Live Evil on a cassette (among a load of other great stuff, like Led, Kraftwerk, etc.)
I was hooked on this stuff from my early teens, maybe even before that
