Hi everyone! I’ve been using JG for quite some time, but never thought to post in the forum.
I’ve been playing off and on for years but would like to add some disciple so I can make progress. I’ve used a variety of sources to learn, but always end up coming back to JG because of how organized and thorough it is.
The learning logs are a treasure trove to see how and what people practice so I’ll be using that to bring structure and consistency into my playing.
Nice to meet everyone!!
Welcome to the forum Saif
Hi Saif,
Welcome here and I wish you a lot of fun and as much as structure you like
Greetings,Rogier
Thanks guys!
Welcome, the forums are great, I am glad you decided to join up and post. You will like it.
There is so much information in here and a ton of supportive people who really know a lot. Its fantastic what Justin offers to musicians and budding musicians across the world.
Cheak the instructor sections. There is so great stuff in there.
Thank you! Youtube is full of musicians offering guitar courses. There are a few gems there, but nothing comes close to how extensive Justin’s work is.
Welcome Saif,
Good idea to work out a practise routine that fits for you.
Keep it having fun …

welcome to the forum!!!
Hi Saif, welcome to the community forum. I agree that the learning logs have lots of examples of how to organize practice. If you haven’t looked already, I highly recommend the lessons on organizing practice and learning that are at the beginning of each of the modules in grade 3 and the suggestions for creating a personalized practice routine at the end of each grade 3 module. I have gotten many ideas from those lessons. Of course, the grades 1 and 2 have very well organized plan of learning and practice routines.
Thanks guys. I’ll revisit grade 3 and use that practice schedule for now and modify as needed.
Welcome Saif hope you enjoy cheers Hec

We are a supportive and encouraging group of students and guitarists from across the world. Essentially, we are all here for music and to improve as players. We truly are a ‘community’. Members help and support one another and a friendly, positive attitude underpins this. We hope that all - young or old, experienced or new players - adopt and foster the pay-it-forward ethos that Justin personifies and embedded all those years ago when he started the website and forum.
Also, please make sure to read the community etiquette announcement for some important information and guidance.
Richard
Thanks Hec and Richard
