You should be down there playing tennis or whatever they are playing with the senoritas rather than up there in your apartment watching them :winking_face_with_tongue:

It’s called Padel which seems to be a cross between tennis and squash. The apartment overlooks a sports club. They play from morning until night. I don’t know how they can play in the heat of the day (38c).

Hi Gordon,
Have a great time …again. :smiling_face_with_sunglasses: :sun:

After 4 weeks of no guitar here, the calluses have certainly halved, luckily I didn’t swim (also because I would probably just drown…) I’m going to work on it again from today

Greetings and keep enjoy life to the max :dizzy:

Well, we’ve taken a bit of a detour on our way home to Scotland from Spain and ended up in Liverpool for a whistlestop tour of Beatles land!

Yes I know it’s not 100% the original Cavern Club but apparently its 75%.

Well, Gordon, you certainly write well and play well. I particularly like your tales of misadventures with motorcycles. I’m inspired to write of my continuing adventures & misadventures on four wheels. Also, I have yet to record anything, but you make it look easy.

Glad you enjoyed the read Jonathan.
As for making it look easy……the trick is to look relaxed even if you’re not.
Get that 12 string recorded! I’ve never tried one and imagine getting the twin strings fretted cleanly must take a bit of practise.

@Twin_Six I’m with Gordon. From one 12 string player to another, you need to put up a recording. If I can do it, you can do it. :guitar: (they need an acoustic guitar emoji)

I’m currently relaxing in the Playa Blanca Lanzarote sunshine. (with no guitar unfortunately :slightly_frowning_face:)
Last night I was looking at the skyline view from our apartment and thought it reminded me of something. Then it hit me…….

Haha. Actually we’ve just flown into Lanzarote after 2 weeks in Puerto Banus in the south of Spain. We flew from Malaga to here which in itself was a bit of an adventure. We dropped off our hire car at Malaga airport in plenty of time. Checked in our luggage and went through all the security stuff and went for a coffee. You know what’s like, you sit and watch the screen waiting for your gate number to come up. Malaga airport is very busy and I could see there was a huge queue at passport control. Better join the queue we thought. As we’re UK citizens and no longer in the EU we don’t benefit from the “borderless” thing.
Then I suddenly thought. We’re in Spain and flying to Lanzarote which is part of Spain, do we need to go through passport control?
Then the gate number came up and it was nowhere near the queue we were in. #### Mad dash to the correct place. No passport control there and straight onto the aircraft with minutes to spare!
Who said holidays were relaxing!:joy:
