Hi Shane, I’ve just read through your log for the first time and what fantastic progress you’ve made in your two years thus far.
As a newbie, I find progress like yours inspirational. Well done mate.
Shane, enjoyed reading your log and happy anniversary, as others have said you are making great progress. Providing motivation and inspiration on my journey.
Cheers
Phil
Thank you all your replies. As I said, it’s a privilege to be here among you all, learning this wonderful instrument.
Sorry, I cant reply to you all, as I’d be just repeating myself, but I appreciate every single one of you for your kind words.
I do have to mention @DavidP, @adi_mrok and @batwoman though -who warmly welcomed me into this community 2 years ago, and have assisted me greatly in my journey, not only with guitar playing, but with life in general. Thank you David, Adrian, and Maggie for your support
Cheers,Shane
Here to share the love. Congrats on your 2 years, doing well sir !
Terrific update Shane and congrats on passing the 2 year JustinGuitar-iversary! Interesting to read your playing around with the 2i2, the recording side of things is just the most enormous rabbit hole. Like you I’m just trying to keep it simple on that side of things.
Keep on keeping on as they say, always good to read your updates and hear your AVOYPs.
2 Year anniversary improv
Thanks again for all the well wishes.
I’ve taken up Adrians @adi_mrok challenge of producing something for my 2 year anniversary.
Thought an improv was the best path.
This one’s a rock blues in Em. Thought I’d turn up the volume, the gain, and the tempo, as my other improvs are more of a mellow nature ( ie slower, and easier to do ).
This one’s pretty close to the limit of my current abilities, certainly tempo-wise, so a few flubs here and there. I just wanted to go for it and see what happens, with perhaps a glimpse to the future that nailing this sort of stuff is possible if I hang around here for some more anniversaries.
Cheers, Shane
I would say your current abilities are pretty good. Nice enjoyable improv.
I quoted this bit from you because I think you may have misspoken. Fairly certain you really meant to say, ‘AS I hang around here’ instead of ‘IF I hang around here’.
Looking forward to sharing your continued journey into all things guitar.
And congrats on your 2 year mark!
That was great Shane I think fits well to your recent LL entry. Very good impro as well, your vibrato is really good I personally think, you get this really bluesy vibe with it which is a final goal to most of us. Not sure where you are in Justin’s structure but I think library of licks from Justin should be your next step. This will enable you to put some quicker chops here and there and will give you some creative ideas. Give it a go and until the next time!
Well you know those aussies by now … when they become famous they don’t want to associate with “normal” people anymore… Then they leave their island and stay elsewhere…
Hi Shane,
I have nothing to add to what Adrian says …
And now that I am here I have a question for someone, … Have you not been able to look at someone’s avatar for 2 days at the info there ? I often need that for names that I can hardly remember, and I also find it very useful with new people… Hopefully it’s not my problem, then it will solve itself,
Greetings
Thanks Adrian. Have been practicing a few of Justins licks from the E and D shape pentatonic. Time to start getting a library together! Thanks.
Cheers, Shane
Thanks for the kind words Robert. I’ll being hanging around, thats for sure.
Cheers, Shane
Always enjoy your wit Roger.. And I wont be leaving the ‘island’ anytime soon. I enjoy the temperate climate too much
Cheers, Shane
Have you got your glasses on Roger ?
That was fabulous, Shane. Such great lines, fluent up and down the neck, bends and vibrato, and have the feel and vibe. And keep cranking the gain, a wonderful tone that is still pretty clean.
Mmmm,I don’t like it when things are on my computer start to @%$#@,…normally I don’t ask these kinds of questions because within 2 days there is always someone who asks…so I started to feel a bit restless … …I’m going to see what I can do here,…thanks both of you (well Shane??? ) for your effort
Always a good idea to restart, if you are not in the habit of switching off on a regular basis.
Hi David,
Indeed I never close, and was just working on this … just like deleting cookies and such … unfortunately, no change yet … Don’t panic here, … it will lock " automatically" again,…I just never feel like figuring things like this out…computer has to work/do as i say, or else I hate that thing…
Edit:
Hi @DavidP ,In case someone else starts to cry about it too… In google chrome it is al working…but normaly i use Avast Secure, and that one is still not working normal …maybe time will help me
That was a bit of a stoater !! Great way to celebrate !
