Hi Jeff,
Run run, I hear the sirens

love those outdoor videos and it gives a good vibe to the music :sunglasses:

Greetings

Way to go Jeff! Looks like your having a great time.

Ain’t nothing better than playing in the great outdoors on a beautiful day. I just find it inspiring.
I’ve never considered playing at a park. I just play on my back stoop by myself.
Did ya get a crowd forming while you were playing? If you did, did it get you self conscious (it would for me)?
Seems like folks like hearing the music outside and may come on over to check out the music.

Thanks for sharing your music in the park with us.

That was a nice spontaneous take, Jeff!

There’s hardly anything better than enjoying a lovely day outside with some music going! Looks like a good place to hang out and strum away.

Nice outdoorsy feel to your recording, Jeff. Enjoyable listen.

Hi Jeff!
What a great vibe… beautiful weather outside, strumming in the park, just making your music!!! Fun!!!

The sirens were from approaching fire trucks that had to put out the flames coming from my guitar🤣.

Thanks for listening Roger. Have a great day.

Yes there was a small crowd who stopped to listen. I like to be the center of attention and would gladly play on stage if given the chance. The only thing that bothers me is sometimes people try to photo bomb my videos or make annoying noise in the background. I often play at the beach near the Pacific Ocean here and get bigger crowds that appreciate the music. Thanks for listening.

Jeff

Hi Lisa,

Thanks for stopping by to listen. It was a beautiful day for October so I just had to play something and decided to post it here. Not much experience with that song but wanted to do something new. Ich wunsche Schoenes Wochenende

Hi John,

Thanks very much. It was nice to get out for some fresh air and away from the boring music room. I appreciate you having a listen. Take care

Jeff

Thanks Tod. I’ve been debating doing one of this guys songs for a while and decided to give it a go. I think it’s cool he didn’t start playing guitar until he was in his twenties unlike most professional musicians. Weather was great here yesterday so no complaints. Hope all is well in NM.

I don’t really know Luke Combs’ music too well… I haven’t done any of his songs. Right now I’m working on songs with power chords & mixing it up with fingerstyle… trying to improve my timing with both.
I like that you tackle a lot of different styles & genres, Jeff! Well done!!!

Tod

P.S. Weather here has been warm (almost too warm), sunny & mostly clear without very much wind… I’ve been hard-pressed to pick up the guitar when the motorcycles are calling & they’re pretty loud!!!

Hi Tod,

Thanks again for the kind words. I hope you get out to enjoy that nice weather. I like that you’re mixing it up with finger style. That’s great! Take care

Hi everyone,

I’ve been working so many hours I haven’t had much guitar time so I squeezed in a new version of a Poison song I did a while back. Fun times and be gentle with the tomatoes thrown. Have a good one😎

Finally taking vacation to Las Vegas for a couple days to see Lenny Kravitz… Maybe I’ll do his music soon.

Hi Jeff,
I like that!
Your singing is somewhere between singing a melody and talking rhythmically - it reminds me of Lou Reed (there are certainly much more who do that style, but he came to my mind). Strumming and timing was nice!
I think that you didn’t tune your guitar precisely enough - at least for me, it disturbs the listening experience! It’s just my thought, it could also be an intonation problem on the guitar (but it appeared on two different guitars, so probably not) or thin strings and pressing too hard, but rather electrics are prone to that.
Hope you enjoy Las Vegas,
Dominique

Thanks for the feedback. I’ve heard that about the tuning from several people for a while now. Part of it is my hands have arthritis and don’t cooperate with the fretboard sometimes. Hopefully I’ll eventually figure out a workaround. Any suggestions are appreciated. Lou Graham wow what a compliment. I’ve heard people say I’m like Tom petty too lol. Have a good one.

No, I meant Lou Reed - you know, the one with “A walk on the wild side” That’s probably his most famous song!

Sorry to hear that you have arthritis in your hands! I’m not sure what you think about herbs and alternative medicine, but once I joined a class on healing with herbs and the teacher was great. She knew where to try with one of her patients, or when rather to send him to a standard doctor - sorry I don’t know about these expressions well in english!
And I remember her recommending (if this is the right translation) Cantharide patches directly at the location of your arthritis. Did you hear about that?

Anyway - all the best and see you around,
Dominique
