Hello everyone.
Just want to intodruce myself. I am Blue, in my mid 70s and not really a newby on my guitar. I know Justine since several years, own some of his books, a lot of his YT videos and love his style of teaching. He really knows how to put his stuff in a nutshell.
After several circumstances I lost my possibilities to practice as I should. The result is I lost lots of my skills and dexterity. So I decided to try a complete newstart from scratch. I know thats the best way to keep myself away from bad habits. Looks like a hard way but with Justin it‘s gonna be the fun way.
My gear:
Guitars
GIBSON LP STANDARD 2015 WCR
EPIPHONE LP STANDARD PLUS VSB
GRETSCH G5622T-CB ELECTROMATIC
SQUIER JV FENDER STRATOCASTER
YAMAHA A3R DREADNOUGHT
AMPS
BOSS KATANA 100 HEAD MKII
ELECTRO HARMONIX 15 W HOWITZER IN COMBINATION WITH BOSS GX-100
Hi Bernd,
Greetings from Poland!
So nice to meet you here. I’m 71 and enjoy playing guitar like I have never before, perhaps because I now have lots of time to fully immerse in my passion. I believe you’ve found a great website here with a friendly and helpful community, should you need any assistance.
Great photo there! Oh, and your gear is admirable, to say the least.
Regards
Tomasz
Hi Bernd, welcome to the community forum. That is a nice collection of guitars to practice and play on. Starting again is a good plan. You will refresh your memory and even learn a few new things from the beginning lessons. Have fun as you get you guitar skills back.
Hi Blue
Welcome to the community
That is a very nice picture!
You have some awesome gear too.
I agree, starting from the beginning and revising after a break is a great way to go
Hello Blue.
Welcome to JustinGuitar and this fantastic community. Please take your time to look around and get to know the wider space. https://community.justinguitar.com/categories
We are a supportive and encouraging group of students and guitarists from across the world. Essentially, we are all here for music and to improve as players. We truly are a ‘community’. Members help and support one another and a friendly, positive attitude underpins this. We hope that all - young or old, experienced or new players - adopt and foster the pay-it-forward ethos that Justin personifies and embedded all those years ago when he started the website and forum.
Also, please make sure to read the community etiquette announcement for some important information and guidance.
