Hi Sharath some good suggestions given already above, nothing else for me to say well done and keep it up!
Congrats on your first post! I don’t have much to add - strumming sounded in time and your chord changes sounded clean to me.
Can you keep it in time if you strum slower and with a metronome? Sometimes strumming faster is actually easier - going slower and with a reference beat can be helpful.
Am I the only one who would rather see the pad of the fretting hand thumb centered behind the neck rather than sticking up above the neck?
Good point… get that thumb behind the neck and not on top of it. Otherwise great job for just starting in’22.
Congrats on posting your first AVoYP.
The others have said it all, so I’ll just say well done and I look forward to more.
I am unable to view your video Sharath as it is saying it is private.
hello everyone,
As mentioned this is my second post here, my last one was this :
Thanks for all the wonderful and insightful comments, love this community.
because of you guys and your comments I removed hesitant feelings and insecurities of my playing and am posting my second post (with singing this time )
In the last post someone mentioned to try singing when I am comfortable so i tried it…
This is the result :
As I said in my first post I started my guitar journey in oct 2022 so I still am unable to judge my playing myself. And I think its always better to ask the community to have a look and give their insights too.
I was interested in singing for quite a while so I gave it a try, and yeah I sound quite cringy. sorry for my bad accent and stuff English is not my Primary language.
I need tips on my Guitar playing and I would love to know any good resources for learning to sing as Justin is for guitar.
Thank you.
Sounded pretty good. Strum timing seemed good. For me the vocal was too quiet but from what I could hear your voice sounded fine.
I have not tried him but a few people on here recommend Chris Liepe for singing and Justin links to some of his lessons e.g.
Hi Sharath,
that was really good, nice and solid strumming even while singing. This is actually not that easy, so you can be proud of yourself.
I agree with Trevor, your singing was a little quiet compared to the guitar, but your voice sounded very nice to my ear, also from pitching perspective. I think it only needs a little more practice and confidence. Or check out above hints by Trevor, no more to add on that.
Keep up the good work!
