Should I strum only on the chord circle icon?

Hey guys, I have a doubt, on the app, when I’m doing a music exercise, the app tells me what chord use, but I don’t get it if I need to strum on the little and big dots too, or only on the big dot with the chord icon. Anyone can help me with?

Hey Thiago–
My two bits: If you’re struggling to play a song, that is a great place to start.

If you look at that “Strum” tab at the top it can give you a suggested strumming pattern
I believe most of the module one songs it is suggested just down on the first beat.

You really want to hit that just so. That’s what our brains generally want to hear. So, keep at a single strum until you’re really nailing each strum right on the beat.

But of course, you can do whatever you like.
The nice thing about a single strum is that it gives you more time to move your fingers for the next chord. If you’ve got plenty of time throw in some more strums. Typically strum down on beats 1,2,3,4 (which ever ones you choose) and typically up strum some of the highest string on the upbeats (1&, 2&, 3&, 4&).

As it becomes easy for you, you add more strums that “feel” good to you. You can make the song your own.

Giddy-up!

Oh, I see it now , I totally missed that tab! Thanks so much. I’m following your tips, and playing the module songs is way more fun now.
