Shubb The AX Reversible Guitar slide

Anyone know anything about this slide: Shubb The AX Reversible Guitar slide.

I can’t see how fiddling with this thing mid-song does not interrupt a solo

I may be too suspicious, but if a guitar technique-related problem took until 2024 to be solved, then it surely was not one of the major problems.

I seem to recall Justin talking about them in the slide guitar lesson

Yes John… what James says in
"Slide guitar basics " in blim the second one after 2:20 …looks different but the idea is the same and he can’t remember ever using it… and uhhh…he has 3 of them

I’ve certainly seen a number of reversible slides that don’t have the delrin ring. so it seems to me that making it a 2 piece thing would make it a little easier to use.

that said, I haven’t seen many guitarists use them. but I have seen guitarists use a number of methods to deal with a more traditional slide.

I saw one who would stick theirs to a magnet attached to the body of the guitar when they wanted to take it off. I’ve seen guitarists make a move like they’re slipping the slide into a back pocket. I’ve seen guitarists attach the slide to their strap somehow.

So there’s not just one way to deal with this. Pick the one that works for you.

His signature guitar even comes with a magnet in the body for just such a thing.

Thanks chaps.

I wonder how much quicker the strings wear out using a slide whether metal, ceramic, or glass.

You’ll likely exert more pressure with your fingers than with a slide. Not much is needed.
