APRIL UPDATE

April was deliberate unstructured practice, though I kept on working on Dee and I had to work on preparing the children songs for the party, which meant first of all understanding what the heck was going on with the Amplification system (maybe you remember about my frustration at Christmas)…everything is now solved and I’ve been practicing with the Amp and exploring new sounds and how to mix different finger strumming techniques - and I really enjoyed it, I should practice more with the Amp :sweat_smile:

Here what my disadventures have been with Amplification

Ah… Oh… Ooopsss - I made another Chord Melody :smiling_face_with_three_hearts::heart::sweat_smile:

More than real arrangements I think it would be more correct to call my attempts “Chord Melody exercises” where the main goal is to find out a Rhythmical context within and around my Melody and, right after that, being able to pick out my Melody from the Rhythmical flow I worked out (which mostly takes the form of very few fingerpicking patterns). There’s little choice of “good notes” for the moment, the main effort is to keep everything as simple as possible to be able to keep the flow going. I hope it makes sense. I think that if I will be able to develop my skills in this direction then it’ll be possible for me to work out more refined arrangements. There is something still missing though to support the performing of what I’m singing internally and that is: better fretting hand Technique. I improved in terms of economy of movements and well, pinky being able to reach out the Major Scale notes required much work and I’m very proud of it…but there’s still something wrong on my fretting hand, especially in my Cs and G7.
