I would really like to see a lesson/history of skiffle. Maybe a Lonnie Donegan song. I hear reference to this genre as an influence on early British blues/rock guitarists, but I’m honestly not sure what defines it as a style. Is it chords, rhythm, or melody? Something different?

I’ll be interested in this myself, since I’m old enough to remember skiffle. I believe one thing was the use of cheaply available, sometimes homemade, acoustic instruments. Quality instruments were scarce and beyond the finances of most people in immediate post-war Britain.
I found this documentary interesting and did cover skiffle and it’s part in what would become the Britsih Blues invasion: Red, White & Blues
