I’m sure I have been doing this for awhile but I just really noticed that there’s a harshness when I jump certain chords (D to Em as a example). When I lift off from D to go to Em I hear a distinct kind of harsh or abruptness in the change. I have tried lifting it after the strum and in the middle of the strum and it still is there. I don’t notice it on most other chord changes. Any ideas or suggestions are appreciated. Thanks.
Richard, perhaps you use more pressure when forming the D chord and perhaps lift the fingers off at an angle, that adds some extra noise.
Perhaps try just forming the chord, lifting off the fingers, forming the chord again and see if the same thing happens.

Good advice. I still have a tendency to grip the chords tightly (getting better). I’ll give it a try. Thanks.
