Solo 1 - Still Got The Blues

Sound great man‼️ BRAVO‼️

Sounded pretty great to me. Looking forward to hearing more.

This is inspiring Shane! Great video.
How much experience did you have when this was recorded?

Hey Boris,

Thanks for the kind words mate.

I did this video at around 2 years with Justin. I had picked up a guitar before this, but could only play a few open chords and some basic songs. Everyone learns at a different pace though.
Justins teaching certainly changed everything for me. Stick close to it and you may just be very surprised at where you can be in 12 months.

All the best.
Cheers, Shane

This is quite a challenge as virtually every note is bent - the same as Parisienne Walkways

I hope it is ok to post it here. It took quite some time and only in the last couple of months I was able to play it approx. at this level.

I know there is a lot to improve, but I am happy with this at the moment. At least I can make faces like Gary. Once again, thank you for the inspiration Shane.

Did you learn that last part?

Sounding really good Boris. You may want to post it in AVOYP. Not sure how many folk will pick up on your post here.

Great stuff, Shane. Can’t wait for more!

Well done, Shane. I like your play and really love the sound you got from your Les Paul. I’ve never been able to get a Gary Moore sustain like that.

You played it with a lot of feeling–an indispensable element of blues playing. The smooth overdrive sound complements the character of the song nicely. :+1:

Shane, you’ve really got it going with the blues. Great start on this one, and I’m loving it. I’ve started on Parisienne Walkways and, like you, got the chords and up to the breakneck part of the solo. Don’t know that I’ll live long enough to finish it. Still have the rest of the song and bass and vox.
The way you’re cranking these out, you must be a quick study or have to much time on your hands. :joy: But keep 'em coming. Great stuff.
