Hey, this is probably a stupid question. I am using the Justin guitar app, but how are people learning / playing along to these songs when they aren’t using the app? I’m kind of realizing that I don’t know how to play any songs outside the app, and maybe that’s not a great thing?

They tend to use the song lessons which Justin shows different levels of complexity so you can develop the songs as you progress on the guitar.

@Socio Thanks for responding. Is there a point in the lessons where Justin covers how to read guitar tabs so that we can find and play songs on our own or is that considered an entirely different subject?

this is a beginner grade 1 lesson, so why is one of the songs Justin recommended (Cortez the Killer) listed as a Grade 2 song on the actual song lesson?
Probably because it only has grade 1 chords in it and you can play along with keeping the strumming pattern simple, but can add more difficulty as you progress.
I remember playing this one in the app in grade 1.
