Hi Renan,

It is never necessary to say sorry for such thing , your intentions are good and you are not deliberately offending or trying to irritate anyone. and let’s face it…this is about ā€œjustā€ guitar, right… "let’s keep it light a little "we say here :grinning_face_with_big_eyes:

Have fun Renan :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

I’m going to use this thread to post a question (to avoid spam, I hope it’s not wrong?). So, I’d like to know what’s the best thread to post my progress with videos?

Well, personally I think an LL (learning log) is suitable for that …

Yes I was suspecting that were the right place, so what would be the title? ā€œRenan Learning Logā€?

Make yourself a learning log. This way all your progress videos will be in one thread so you can easily keep track of then and others can help you by comparing your ptogress.

Yes that will be fine :grinning_face_with_big_eyes:

Some come with the most strange names like some kind of wanabe Rock Star… … :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:but it’s pretty clear with your own name that way you type.

Don’t expect videos with high quality of image and sound, I’ll be using my tablet on my bed

Renan we have a saying in my language which I would translate like ā€œa good game doesn’t last longā€ …there’s nothing wrong in a poll just for the fun of it, but if it becomes a habit then it is an issue; your enthusiasm for sharing is very welcome but please use the Categories :slightly_smiling_face:

P.s.: the LL suggestion is a great one, go for it!

Nothing to apologise for. I enjoyed them for a while. Thanks for being active in this community.

No need to apologize. I really enjoyed the conversations that were spurred by the polls that you created.

In fact, I’m disappointed that the moderators chose to close those threads and merge them with other somewhat tangentially related threads. For instance the conversation about music theory was merged with the thread from a lesson that asks ā€œWhy are you learning music theory?ā€ All of the previous replies in that thread were answers to that specific question. The conversation that you started was more open and frankly much more interesting as people were sharing how they had learned it, how they used it, and how it had helped their development as guitar players.

I don’t know why the moderators chose to prioritize their sense of organization over engaging conversation that fosters engagement within the community.

It didnt bother me but that might not be saying much. I am kind of a freak of nature, wild child so. :joy:

I didn’t like the mods move in this instance… nothing was wrong with the polls IMHO… if someone didn’t want to participate, they can just move on to the next subject… it was just a bit of fun that someone decided to ā€œthrow a wet blanketā€ on… BAD DECISION MODS!!!

No apologies necessary. Some people in here make assumptions about what the rest of the members like to see/read in here and make judgements based solely on their own little world. There are thousands on here that enjoy your posts . I think the oft used phrase ā€œif you don’t like it, scroll byā€ applies here. Rock on.

Thank you Renan, I’m really glad you understand our intentions and work; your comment is much appreciated, as it is appreciated your contribuition to our Community and the enthusiasm for guitar you share with us
