Sound issues Reaper to OBS

Thank you Toby and Adi for the replies. I have changed the settings are per the instructions and I have also disabled the webcam mic.

In which program do I do this please Toby?

A couple of screen shots for you as well and a video.

ASIO

This is the audio when I skip Reaper and go straight in to OBS

Yet it is still having the same problem going through Reaper.

From your Reaper screenshot, this box :+1: Will catch the audio later.

Hold the line caller…just gave that a spin and it sounds fine. Can’t see/hear any latency either at 512 so you should be good when the OBS and Reaper settings are in sync.

See what happens when you tick that box.

Thanks Toby, I’ve ticked that box but still the same dropout issues when Reaper comes in to play. It’s very odd.

I never had this problem on my laptop but then the PC isn’t anything out of the ordinary.

Stefan, if I get a chance I’ll have a play with my set up just in case I have overlooked anything obvious - its been a while since I tried Reaper and OBS. At the moment I can’t even get my Xenyx working in Reaper and the POD is currently plumbed into that. So I will need to do some re-cabling to use the UMC1820 instead (I can see Gordon wagging his finger for my tinkering ).

Its got to be a sample or buffer mismatch, as ReaRoute is passing a signal to OBS.

Thank you Toby I really appreciate it but don’t go messing up your stuff to try and get mine working. I’ll keep on tinkering to see if I can solve it. I’ve got some up and coming recordings where I need to drop a backing track into Reaper, so I was trying to get it sorted before I got to that point.

Thank you.

Toby, issue solved. I’ve plugged my Focusrite into a USB3 port. Who’d have thought!

Thank you very much for your help and to everyone else who contributed, your help is really appreciated.

I hate computers. :joy:

I spent 38 yrs with them and thought I’d escaped.
To confirm is it now in USB3 or was in USB3 ??

As an aside I got FlexAsio working in Reaper for the Xenyx by unchecking Enable Inputs !!
Still don’t know what that does  and given up on ASIO4ALL.

Glad you’ve fixed it. :+1:

There is no escape Toby, you are forever in the Matrix.

Yes, it is now USB3 that is the latest.

Glad to read you got your issue sorted also. Two wins in one day.

Thanks again for your help. :sunglasses:
