Splitable humbucker

Thank you guys. :+1:

@TheMadman_tobyjenner I think that last one is more my kind of bag for wiring. The first and second images just look like really hard work, not that they are any good for me though as I only have one HB.

What raised the question for me was I already have my super cheap Strat style which I am going to pimp but I’m saving for a Fender and I’ve seen a few that are HSS configs and I thought, do I need another HSS seeing as I already have one or should I go all single coils or a split HB, as I have seen some Fenders I like but they are in HSS config.

Really I should just be happy with what I’ve got.

The first was the custom diagram I had made up by guitarelectronics.com that matched the configuration I wanted for the Pimp. It was the first time I’d ever soldered and was not that hard, despite my being heavy handed with the solder ! If I did it again, I’d go for a Push/Push or Pull/Push set up.

Why ??? Curiosity killed the cat not the GAS !

I will have to maybe have a reconsider on the new Strat I buy then. That one you shared Toby is a lovely looking guitar.

I think for the pimping I’ll stick with what I have picked already or I could just procrastinate for years and never get around to doing it.

The best thing I think is, once I’ve got the cash is to go out and try a few and hear the different myself.

this is the best way to pick. I have purchased two without playing them and have been surprised both times by the sound and feel. One I really like, one is just ok. My newest was purchased by trying a similar model. I loved it from the moment I sat down with it, and the model I did need to order is the same.
