St. James Infirmary - Resonator fingerstyle blues

This is a first recording on my new resonator guitar. It took some experimenting with the EQ of my DAW because the tone of this guitar is quite different from my other acoustics. It is also louder, so the signal-to-noise ratio is better, especially when compared to my all mahogany parlor.

Wow, I really liked that. While I’m predominately a fingerstyle player, I do st james infirmary with a pick and a simple strum so it was cool to hear your much fancier version. Well done.

Lovely - I love this song, and I love your particularly individual cover of it

That sounds great! I love resonators, but have never even actually played any acoustic guitar - I get the impression they’re harder to play than electrics.

Thanks. I agree that an acoustic steel string is a bit harder to play than an electric. The recording of it is also more challenging.
