I know that this is my fastest learned piece of music by miles, all of course in line with previously learned pieces that makes this possible.
I am very satisfied with the process, and if the cat had not made a couple of noises this morning this had been a one take. (up to the first 3 times and then I took a long break )
This is something I started the day with the past few days because it doesnāt require any physical warm-up for me, so so happy now .
You could still nitpick (or something with an ) about the final chord, or that this really sound even better on my acoustic (will happen laterr) but Iām not going to do that today ā¦
Hi Michael @mfeeney0110
Thank you and for noticing the smiles ā¦ befor I start and some in between I was thinking at last song and to how I wrote that when I looked into the camera I thought of Mari , and now I also thought of Richardās C. comment and now had to be careful not to started laughing to much ā¦but I felt super relaxed tooā¦
Thank you Jacek @JackPK for listening and comment ,and If you still find the motivation, it will probably go quickly with all your experience
Thank you very much Mick @micknew for listening and comment ,
Completing a piece like that really makes one have a happy day, eh? You look very pleased & you definitely should!!! Good job with timing & dynamics that convey very Uplifting Blues - waitā¦ is that even a āThingā?
Uplifting Blues?
Sounds like Jumbo Shrimp or Silent Scream or Icy Hot or even Good Grief!!!
Regardless, that was some tasty Uplifting Blues to me!!!
Good post!!!
Thank you very much also for the smile and ā¦ yes always try at least one barr you never know if it is the thing that is made for you (there is a grade 3 stuff song that I have been practicing regularly for about 5 months over the past year and it doesnāt work without major errors) ā¦and as I tap I see that this falls under grade 4 so the lick in riff grade 3 are definitely worth a tryā¦it wonāt destroy your guitarā¦at most a little bit of your ego ā¦
O wait ,you say "on a serious note "
Thanks
Hi Mathieu @math07
Thank you very much that is nice to read
Hi Tod @CATMAN62
Thank you very much and nice to read and also this
I understand what you mean of course, but just like Justin, I am/become always happy when I play the blues, I never think about misery when I play and I am really in a happy placeā¦although that is not in all my videos to see and certainly rarely in take 1 ā¦ then I think when I look back āwell, letās pull the corners of my mouth up a bit at the beginningā and then it sometimes goes so far that I sometimes start laughing too hard after a while.
Thanks and glad you took that it was uplifting like it supose too
Haha, that made me smile once again laugh out loud now
I may first start with the 12 bar blues for beginners nevertheless. But, seeing you play, itās cool to see whatās possible when following the course!
Very cool Rogier! Great groove!
Sounds amazing on the electric too. (Iām going to try it on my electric as well )
And yes! Loved your smiles
Iām definitely no Blues expert but I thought that the point of playing the Blues was to feel better when youāre āblueā, so I think Uplifting Blues can be a thing
It seems to work that way anyway
Starting with this style from the beginning has already brought me a lotā¦in any case, it has provided a nice basis for playing a small tune for strangers in a living room if the acoustic that is there is not too large and poorly adjusted ( If all goes well, let us know in early December in such a situation) ā¦have fun learning this
Hi Jasmine @Avalon426
Thank you very much and very nice words
Certainly some advantages on the electric compared to an acoustic ā¦ sometimes there is a pickup in the way or something, but Iām used to it ā¦ but the acoustasonic will also be played with blues again in the foreseeable futureā¦
Well done Roger, I get busy with the community and I donāt get much of a chance to just come back to the nitty gritty part of the community, but when I do it is always great to hear somebody like yourself playing like that, after next month I am back here I miss it cheers Hec
Very cool Rogier and very smoothly played too. Great to see/hear you so engaged with the song. Well done.
I keep promising myself to try to learn this piece and the lick ānā riff and the other pieces in the same vein but never get round to it.
So smooth and bluesy, great groove and man, that thumb was steady! All the things you learned in the past months of blues immersion seem to pay off so nicely now. Iām really happy for you that you nailed this one in record time.
Hi Hec @DeltaTyne
Thank you, thatās nice to hear , I hope you get your peace/time back soon, well, building and repairing guitars and the blim and stuffā¦ busy busy busy
Hi Gordon @sairfingers
You again , Iāll keep you busy
Thank you thank you
I can still remember that you were also working on that Lick In Riff ā¦ if you really want it, just 1 barr a day and it will work ā¦ I would like to sing what you do ā¦I start ā¦ tomorrow
Hi Lisa @Lisa_S
Thank you and Itās great that youāre still hanging around here despite such a changed situationā¦ really great
This all started with the first free lessons and really gained a foothold with the Grade 3 Lick 'n Riff lessonsā¦ ā¦ Blim helps me more with solosā¦itās about time I do something with that, Iāve been dry for a few weeks now ssssst
Starting In 2 weeks I think with the last of those 3ā¦but that will be a different cookie I hear today
