How I’m feeling recently, somewhere at the end of beginner. Not quite intermediate

My playing tells me I’m on the beginner side of intermediate, my ego says I’m on the advanced side of intermediate.

I’m still a beginner, I think. Others may say I’m below that.

Definitely a beginner.

So like me you know how to hold a guitar and pose like a rock star

I’m very much slap-bang in the middle of the beginner category, but in my dreams I’m the most advanced guitarist there ever was!:zzz:

:100: beginner!!

When anyone asks I describe myself as a moderately competent 1960s garage-band rhythm guitarist.

Who is deciding this, my mum or editor of guitarist weekly magazine?

We’re does “the dog leaves the room” fit in to the scale?

Some days when I play I think, wow, maybe I am creeping up on the intermediate level and feel good about it, then there are other days when I pick up the guitar and it feels like a foreign object in my hand and I can’t find a Em chord with both hands. So the answer is it depends on the day and the hour.

That’s a very common thing. Pretty good one day, all thumbs the next.

To be honest I think those definitions are wrong as you are still learning the guitar no matter which stage you are at
