Summer fete gig, June '25

Here I am,in the sunshine, shades on and playing my recently bought Telecaster, with my band at a local summer fete last weekend.The dancers are my wife and my grandaughter.

Many thanks for the comments, and I hope that I can inspire a few others on here, especially those that, like myself have started learning to play guitar later in life and maybe thought that they had left it too late to do anything like this.

I joined this newly formed group around 18 months ago as a late stage beginner and I was at the time following Justin’s beginner course, but I am afraid that structured learning has kinda gone out of the window now as all of my guitar time these days seems to be taken up by learning songs for the band.

Great stuff Malcolm - just the kind of music that you want to listen to at a summer fetes! And who needs structured learning - eventually you’ll learn the same things just in a different order. I bet you make much more progress practising songs for the band anyway as you have something to practise for.
