That was the worst christmas of my life cover of Sufjan Stevens song

I wanted to do a christmas song and post earlier in the week after I saw the thread Here

I decided to post it in the main section as well. It’s a different sort of christmas song but it sounded nice. So I thought I would try to learn it well enough to post up that day. It has a certain sound that I liked.

There is a melody played with a Banjo during the middle part, I am not sure how to incorporate it. I guess it could just be played without the back ground strumming. I would love to get to a more advance level, playing a melody with the strumming like we have seen justin do in a couple of his lessons.

Well done Jason, nicely played and sung. :slightly_smiling_face:
You could explore playing arpeggio chords instead of strumming as a first step towards mixing chords and melody. You can randomly pick strings, but keep same/similar rhythmic pattern. Just a suggestion.
